Have you ever wondered if a career in healthcare is right for you? In addition to providing a glimpse into the life of a healthcare professional, this course will cover related educational elements, ethical issues, culture, and expectations of healthcare providers today.
Sherri Hoss is one of the health core instructors at Southeast Technical (STI). She has five years of experience in teaching and over ten years of experience as a registered nurse. At STI, she teaches a variety of courses, including multi-disciplinary health teams, anatomy and physiology, healthcare human relations, patient care techniques, and medical terminology. She teaches traditional, hybrid, and online courses. She currently serves on several committees, including curriculum and accreditation. Instructor Hoss has her BSN in Nursing and M.E.d from South Dakota State University.
Stephanie Entringer, health core instructor at Southeast Tech, teaches a variety of traditional and online classes, including anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, medical language, and patient care techniques. She has a background in nursing and has six years of teaching experience along with over ten years of experience as a registered nurse. Instructor Entringer obtained her B.A. in Nursing from Augustana College and is pursuing her Master’s in Nursing Education. She is dedicated to and passionate about sharing her love of healthcare with the next generation of medical personnel.
David Kampmann is the Instructional Facilitator at Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. David works with 80+ full-time faculty and 30+ adjunct faculty to improve their courses, curriculum, and programs. Often this is through the use of technology. While at Southeast Tech, David has worked with the creation of numerous online programs, and the transition of traditional programs and classes to online or hybrid formats. David has supported both TAACCCT Level 1 and 3 grants in their implementation. David teaches Social Media Marketing, Computer Applications, and multiple graduate level faculty development courses. David has taught a variety of course formats, including traditional, hybrid, and online. David's previous teaching experience is in high school social studies in rural Nebraska schools. David holds a Master of Education in Integrating Technology from Walden University and a B.S. from University of Nebraska in Secondary Education.
Emily Brick is the Retention/Liaison Coordinator with the South Dakota Allied Health Training Consortium. The consortium’s focus is to maximize the development and expansion of innovative training programs in partnership with local health care employers. Emily coordinates all aspects of the program’s implementation while focusing on creating educational opportunities for individuals living in South Dakota’s rural communities. Prior to working with the consortium group, Emily worked for one of the state’s largest healthcare organizations. Emily holds a master’s degree in Strategic Leadership and a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Black Hills State University in Western South Dakota.
