Description

This introductory short course will provide an opportunity for students to explore different technologies, practices and digital pedagogy within the context of 21st Century teaching and is aimed at teachers, trainers or support staff working within educational and training settings. Learners will investigate new and innovative learning environments within different practices, digital pedagogy and theories as well as utilise and develop varied digital teaching tools, methods and practices.



Objectives

  • Provide a better understanding of the concept of the 21st Century teaching in a local and global context.
  • Explore the introduction to Online Learning and showcase various technological tools to enhance learning.
  • Promote a collaborative community learning approach through personal blogs and videos.
  • Offer CPD opportunities and the updating of current CPD.

Mr. Hadi has been involved in educational sector for over a decade in a wide range of roles supporting and innovating in use of technology to enhance learning. He has worked with notable universities and government agencies like JISC to drive the educational technology agenda. Currently he is head of the Academic Innovation Hub team at University of Derby leading on the academic innovation initiatives for the University.
