This course explores the biosphere through understanding the cycles of energy and matter, and the diversity and relationships in the ecosystems. Both living and nonliving influences on populations are explored along with issues of sustainability and resource management.

Wendy Noffke, D.C. is a full-time faculty teaching General Biology, Microbiology, and Anatomy and Physiology both on campus and online at Clover Park Technical College, and part-tiome science at Northwest Career and Technical High School. Loren Davis, M. Ed. has a degree in Educational Leadership, is the director of Northwest Career and Technical High School, and is a former science teacher. Both instructors are involved in facilitating the use of technology to actively engage students in their own classrooms and providing professional development to other educators.
